What are the classifications of hand drills

The structure of hand drill

The main components of a hand electric drill: drill chuck, output shaft, gear, rotor, stator, casing, switch and cable.

Electric hand drill (pistol drill)-a tool for drilling metal materials, wood, plastics, etc. It can be used as an electric screwdriver when equipped with a forward and reverse switch and an electronic speed control device. Some models are equipped with rechargeable batteries, which can work normally for a certain period of time without external power supply.

Special model: Right-angle electric drill---suitable for use in narrow working spaces. (The head of the electric drill is 90 degrees to the body, so the required working space is reduced.

Classification of hand drills

According to the structure, it can be divided into one-way single-speed drilling and multi-speed forward and reverse drilling.

According to the shape of the handle, it can be divided into double-sided handle, gun handle, rear bracket, ring handle and so on.

According to the scope of use of electric hand drills, it is divided into standard type, heavy type and light type. Heavy-duty electric drills have relatively large output power and torque. They are mainly used for drilling high-quality steel and other various steel materials. They have high drilling efficiency and can exert greater axial force; light electric drills have both output power and torque. Small, mainly used for drilling of non-ferrous metals, cast iron, plastics and other materials. Ordinary steel can also be used, but not too much axial force can be applied. The performance and use range of standard electric drills are between heavy and light.

According to different types of power sources, hand electric drills include single-phase series electric drills, DC electric drills, and three-phase AC electric drills. The power source of a DC drill generally uses a rechargeable battery, and the current DC drill has been widely used.

Common hand electric drill bit

Twist drill bits---most suitable for iron, aluminum alloy and other materials. It can also be used to beat wooden materials, but the positioning is not accurate and easy to beat.

Hole opener---Suitable for making holes on iron and wood materials.

Wood drill bits---specially used to beat wooden materials. With a positioning rod for precise positioning.

Glass drill bit---suitable for drilling holes in glass.

Precautions

Can not be used to drill concrete and brick walls. Otherwise, it is very easy to cause the motor to overload and burn the motor. The key lies in the lack of an impact mechanism in the motor, and the bearing is small.

Model analysis

Common models are GBM13, GBM 13RE.

Model analysis: GBM: electric hand drill, 13: maximum drilling diameter 13mm in steel, R: forward and reverse, E: electronic speed control

Selection and common accessories

The key to selection: 1. Maximum drilling diameter; 2. Power; 3. Forward and reverse; 4. Electronic speed regulation;

Common accessories: twist drill.

What is the use of hand drill

1. Drilling holes in metal materials should first be used to punch the holes where they are drilled.

2. When drilling larger holes, drill through with a small drill in advance, and then use a large drill to drill.

3. If you need to drill on metal for a long time, take certain cooling measures to keep the drill sharp.

4. It is strictly forbidden to clean the drill chips produced by drilling by hand, and use special tools to clean the chips.

In addition to strictly complying with the relevant regulations of safety production and drilling machine safety and technical operation regulations of this regulation, the following items should also be observed.

1. Check the handle and power wire of the electric drill before work, keep good insulation, and wear insulating gloves during operation.

2. If electric leakage is found during operation, the motor's heating degree exceeds the regulation, the rotation speed suddenly slows down or there is abnormal noise, it should be stopped immediately and handed over to an electrician for inspection and repair.

3. The drill bit must be tightened, and pressure should be lightly applied at the beginning to prevent the drill from breaking.

4. When drilling upwards, only use your hand to top the drill handle.

5. Align the hole first and then start the electric drill. It is forbidden to hold the drill rod to the hole during rotation.

6. When drilling thin plates, a wooden board must be used. When drilling round shaft workpieces, a triangle iron should be placed underneath to prevent movement. For example, when drilling thick iron plates with a large drill bit, the iron plate must be fixed to prevent the workpiece from rotating and hurting people.
